OWNIC, the digital collectible and gaming platform, is using dNFT technology to bridge the gap between the two fields and has signed up a number of well-known athletes, including Juventus and Italy captain Leonardo Bonucci to be part of the endeavour.
dNFTs – dynamic non-fungible tokens – are a new technology that differ from the more established NFTs in one key way: the data on them is not fixed. Whereas a static NFT looks one way forever, a dNFT can change.
OWNIC have taken advantage of this by partnering with statistical data company Wyscout to generate the xP of the tokens of the players signed up to the platform. The tokens can then be used as cards in a range of games in the OWNIC canon. The ability for a player’s xP to grow also means scouting becomes an integral part of the platform as collectors look to get in early on the stars of the future.
