After beating Bologna, Inter now hold a 16-point lead at the top of the Serie A table, leaving them just a few steps away from securing their Scudetto.

The Nerazzurri edged out another important victory on the weekend as they secured all three points in a tight 1-0 win over Thiago Motta’s side, their 10th consecutive win in the league. The last time they dropped points came in a 1-1 draw with Genoa on December 29th.

Behind them, Milan leapfrogged Juventus to take second after their 1-0 win over Empoli, taking advantage of the Bianconeri’s 2-2 draw with Atalanta. Bologna still sit fourth in the table, three points ahead of Daniele De Rossi’s Roma.

Sky Sports Italia analysed the current position of Inter in the title race, highlighting how they need to win just five of their remaining 10 games to secure their 20th ever Scudetto.

30 points are still available at this stage of the season and they hold a 16-point lead over rivals Milan, so it would take an incredibly dramatic collapse at this stage to knock the Nerazzurri off the top.

Assuming Inter continue their winning streak, they could confirm their Scudetto success on April 21 when facing Milan in the Derby della Madonnina.
