Bologna fans silenced a supporter in the Stadio Renato Dall’Ara after he shouted racist abuse towards Inter full back Denzel Dumfries in their Serie A clash this weekend.

The Nerazzurri secured their 10th consecutive win on Saturday after Yann Aurel Bisseck’s 37th minute strike proved the difference maker in their 1-0 win over Thiago Motta’s side, giving them a 16-point lead at the top of the Serie A table.

Despite the defeat, Bologna still sit in a strong position with 10 games left to play, sitting fourth with a three-point lead over Daniele De Rossi’s Roma. The Emilia-Romagna outfit are desperate to  secure qualification to the Champions League for the first time in their history.

Calciomercato.com details how a video is circulating on social media showing a Bologna fan racially abusing Dumfries during the clash with Inter, calling the full back a monkey and making racist sounds.

He was immediately challenged by the Rossoblu supporter filming the incident, as well as others nearby, who called out his abuse and questioned his mental state, asking: ‘What the hell are you thinking?’.
