Tottenham star Ivan Perisic admits he misses Inter ‘a little bit’ and warns Milan: ‘I’ll be back in Italy soon.’

After six years at Inter, the Croatian winger joined Antonio Conte’s Tottenham as a free agent last summer.

“I miss Inter and Italy a little bit; they’ll be my home forever,” he told Gazzetta.

“After all, Milan and your Country are the places where I spent the most time in my career.”

Tottenham will face Milan in the Champions League Round of 16, meeting the Rossoneri in the first leg at San Siro on February 14, 2023.

“I’ll be back soon for something very important, the Champions League match against Milan is waiting for me.”

Croatia were held to a 0-0 draw by Morocco in their debut at Qatar 2022 but sealed a convincing 4-1 win over Canada on Sunday.

“In the first match, we were not ourselves, we didn’t play well and when you don’t start well in these competitions, you must react quickly. We had to change our style of play, we did it and it was important. We want to continue, and if we do, we should fear nobody.”

Perisic was part of the Croatian team that reached the World Cup Final in 2018, losing 4-2 to France.

The experienced Croatia international was one of the many Inter players featuring in a World Cup Final where the Nerazzurri have had at least one of their representatives since Beppe Bergomi, Lele Oriali and Alessandro Altobelli in 1982 when Italy lifted the trophy in Spain.
