Ndicka spent the night in hospital for observations and further tests following his collapse in the Giallorossi’s Serie A clash with Udinese on Sunday evening. Gazzetta dello Sport suggested that the 24-year-old is stabile and expected to be released before the end of the day.

The Milan based newspaper also tried to identify a possible reason why Ndicka collapsed during the match, highlighting a tough hit to the chest during a challenge with Lorenzo Lucca in the first half.

There was support from Roma and other clubs after the death of Mattia Giani, a 26-year-old Castelfiorentino player who passed away after suffering a heart attack during a competitive Eccellenza match (Italy’s 5th division) against Lanciotto Campi.
