Arrigo Sacchi feels Inter‘s Serie A domination can be summed up in three words, ‘strength, experience and technique’ but Daniele De Rossi has given ‘ideas and courage’ to Roma.

Inter secured a 4-2 win over the Giallorossi on Saturday, moving seven points clear of Juventus at the top of the Serie A table.

Former Italy and Milan coach Arrigo Sacchi was impressed by the Nerazzurri’s performance in the capital and mentioned Marcus Thuram, Federico Dimarco and Yann Sommer among the best players on the pitch at the Stadio Olimpico.

Nevertheless, Inter’s organisation and playing style also amazed the ex-Italian tactician who resumed the Benamata’s Serie A domination in three words: ‘Strength, experience and technique.’

Sacchi wrote for La Gazzetta dello Sport on Sunday that Inter’s “ideas and project” will “make a difference” in the long run and that the Nerazzurri can go all the way in Serie A and the Champions League.

“They proved to be united and mature. Everyone helps each other and tries to be useful. This is a great signal for the second part of the season,” wrote Sacchi.

“Now Inter must not think they are unbeatable. The players and the coach will continue to put pressure on the players, to avoid drops. I am convinced that if Inter continue on this path, it can achieve great results in Italy and Europe.”

Roma also put in a good performance in the first half and were 2-1 up at the break.

“De Rossi has just arrived to replace Mourinho, but you can already see his mark. He has given ideas and courage to the team,” noted Sacchi.

“If the Giallorossi continue with this playing style and approach, they can climb the table. Roma started strong, showing that they didn’t fear the opponent, but then the strength and experience of Inter, united with a playing style that is becoming ‘European’ made the difference.”
