According to La Repubblica newspaper, Juventus and Milan will be fined by UEFA for breaching the FFP rules, while Inter and Roma could face transfer restrictions.

The Times reported on Tuesday that UEFA are preparing to announce sanctions against clubs that didn’t stick to the Financial Fair Play parameters, including Inter, Juventus and Roma.

According to the report, Juventus refused to negotiate a settlement agreement with UEFA so could face a harder punishment. However, Il Corriere dello Sport quotes club sources saying that Juventus did talk to UEFA and are confident that the punishment won’t be too harsh.

According to La Repubblica newspaper, Juventus and Milan will only be fined €3m, slightly more than Milan, who will likely pay €2m. UEFA will fine other European clubs such as PSG and Marseille, the report claims.

The situation seems to be different for Inter and Roma, who will soon finalise negotiations with UEFA.

According to the report, Inter and Roma may have to end the next summer transfer window on a net profit, starting a path to reach break-even and balance the books. Negotiations involving Inter, Roma and UEFA will reportedly end in circa 10 days.

  1. Milan? The Italian Champions can’t even buy one player without repercussions. For how long do we have to pay the price for a couple of bad years? A year out of European competitions, no real transfers for years and still not enough.

  2. This is how FFP works. I say works in the loosest sense. We’re on the way out of the bad books but I cannot believe Man City obstructed an investigation into the club and didn’t get punished as much as MIlan. I won’t even start on other clubs.

  3. @Ahmed Hossam not this year: Overall balance €-15.20m

20/21 season is being problematic with the Overall balance €-43.95m

while 19/20 shows the Overall balance at €-124.98m

  4. So how come teams like Newcastle can spend loads? Need EPL has loads of TV money, still they spend way more than they earn. FFP is rubbish, make rcicher league more richer. And teams like PSG, Man City are spared

  5. That said teams should spend more on youth development. These days more and more players leave for free. Not worth spending a fortune. Bremer, for example, is not worth 50 millions.
