Former Serie A defender Lele Adani hits out at Massimiliano Allegri again and questions the sales of Dejan Kulusevski, Rodrigo Bentancur and Joao Cancelo.

Safe to say Adani isn’t an admirer of Allegri and often criticised his playing style, also during the coach’s successful first spell in Turin.

The Tuscan boss is under-fire following Juventus‘ 0-0 draw against Sampdoria, a game that saw the Bianconeri star Dusan Vlahovic only manage nine touches with no shots on target.

“It’s not correct not being self-critical, I am not saying he should leave, if he shows something, I will say it. Every time there is a different excuse and he gives no possibility of solving problems,” Adani told Bobo TV on Twitch, as quoted by Ilbianconero.com.

“Like that, you feed the mediocrity. Football deserves a different communication. I don’t want to talk about categories, as he did, I want to understand the game. Fabio Miretti was the best on the pitch but was mentioned as a negative example. Where is the respect for the fans?”

Miretti was instrumental to Adrien Rabiot’s disallowed goal against Samp in the second half and was even praised by Juventus on Twitter for his impact after coming on as a substitute at Marassi.

However, Allegri criticised the young midfielder saying that Juventus almost conceded a goal because he ran backwards, allowing Fabio Quagliarella to get on the ball and trying to beat Mattia Perin with a volley.

Adani is not impressed by Juventus’ performances and the club’s transfer strategy is also unconvincing for the former Brescia, Inter and Fiorentina defender.

“Allegri is a passerby at Juventus, the club belongs to Agnelli and the fans. The team’s problems are an excuse because Juventus don’t have someone playing football. Arthur is out of the squad, Adrien Rabiot was close to Man United.

“Why did Juve sell Rodrigo Bentancur, Joao Cancelo and Dejan Kulusevski? Self-criticism is needed sometimes; Juventus and their fans deserve respect.”

Kulusevski and Bentancur joined Tottenham in January 2021 and Juventus used the revenue to get Dusan Vlahovic from Fiorentina.

Cancelo spent just one season in Turin, the last one of Max Allegri’s first spell at the club, joining ManchesterCity in 2019 in a swap deal with Danilo.

Juventus collected four points in the last first Serie A games of the season and on Saturday they will host José Mourinho’s Roma at the Allianz Stadium

  1. What do you expect when you have a Laramie salesman and a mobility scooter style coach. At least that hexagon pattern will be studied by present and future coaches to understand the greatness of PhD Max and why the 7/9 have always flopped in Europe.

  2. Bentancur wasn’t seen as a bad sale by many, if any.
Cancelo was sold for money to a better team.
Kulusevski is doing well under a better manager who doesn’t hold him back.
