Stefano Pioli is reportedly planning two tactical changes to neutralise rivals Inter in the Supercoppa Italiana, involving Simon Kjaer and Ismael Bennacer.

It kicks off in Riyadh on Wednesday at 19.00 GMT.

This is a huge Derby della Madonnina, albeit one played in Saudi Arabia due to sponsorship reasons, and a turning point in the seasons of both clubs.

The Rossoneri are struggling most for form, crashing out of the Coppa Italia to 10-man Torino and picking up only two points from their last two Serie A games against Roma and Lecce.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Pioli is therefore ready to make some adjustments to neutralise Inter and at the same time cover some of Milan’s biggest defects.

The first move is bringing in Kjaer for Pierre Kalulu, as while the Danish defender is nowhere near as fast, he is extremely strong in the air and can help to lessen the huge problems they have suffered with corners and uncontested crosses recently.

Another change is one of shape rather than personnel, moving Sandro Tonali into a more advanced role and leaving Bennacer to battle it out for midfield supremacy with former Rossoneri player Hakan Calhanoglu.
