Adrien Rabiot’s mother and agent Veronique was spotted at the Juventus training ground today, so they are discussing a potential new contract.

The midfielder will only be tied to the Turin giants until June 30, when his current deal is set to expire.

He has not entirely ruled out the possibility of remaining with the Bianconeri with an extension, but his €10m per season salary demands have made that unlikely.

Nonetheless, with other clubs in the Premier League like Manchester United and Arsenal not prepared to pay those figures either, Rabiot is now said to be giving Juventus some serious thought.

He currently earns €7m per season plus performance-related bonuses and Juve would at most probably be able to maintain that rather than increase it.

The presence of Veronique Rabiot points towards negotiations with Juventus, but reports also suggest there has been little progress.

Rabiot increased his profile with a solid 2022 World Cup in Qatar, helping France to reach the Final against Argentina, but if he does leave Juventus then it will be as a free agent in the summer rather than in January.

  1. Yes better than Loca but on a heap more money. His recent performances have been good and may that continue but he’s currently not worth the value of his contract. I doubt any club in Europe would pay the same even picking him up on a ‘free’
