Milan directors Paolo Maldini and Ivan Gazidis comment on Stefano Pioli’s contract extension: ‘The project continues.’
Pioli signed a new one-year deal this morning, with an option to extend for one more season.
“We want to be ambitious and build something important after the victory in Madrid,” Pioli told Milan TV.
“I am passionate about football, I study everything and I try to convey my ideas to my footballers.”
Gazidis and Maldini also shared their thoughts on the coach’s extension.
“The project continues,” said Gazidis.
“Stefano embodies the values of this club, I know Maldini feels the same. Pioli is incredible, he is perfect for Milan, not only as a coach but also as a person.”

“I am thrilled to continue a path that has begun more than a year ago and that is giving results on the pitch and for the future,” Maldini added.
“Our target is to build a team that can compete with the best every season.
“We know there will be tougher days than these, but there is empathy and we will manage to solve any potential problem.”
