Massimiliano Allegri is pushing to sign Angel Di Maria, who is on holiday in Ibiza, from where he will decide whether to accept Juventus‘ offer.

The Argentinean star is available as a free agent after the end of his contract with PSG. He is currently enjoying his holidays in Ibiza, from where he will give a final answer to the Bianconeri.

Di Maria wants a one-year contract which would allow him to return to Argentina in 2023. However, the Bianconeri have offered him a one-year deal with an option for another season, which El Fideo can activate next year. A two-year contract would allow the Serie A giants to use the growth decree and get a 50% cut on the player’s gross salary.

Buffon: ‘Di Maria like Maradona for Serie A’

The 34-year-old is a priority for Max Allegri, who believes experienced players will be key in helping the Old Lady become title contenders again next season. Juventus have missed out on the Scudetto during the last two campaigns after winning nine successive Serie A titles.

Allegri has urged the club to finalise the deal, but Di Maria will only give a final answer in the next few days. Barcelona are also believed to be interested in the winger, but the Catalans must solve their financial issues before making an official offer for the ex-Man United star.

  1. The cost is lower than keeping Dybala.
Dybala never impressed me because he is too slow, which is against the modern football.

  2. Why get di maria. When you can get gnarby – yes you have to pay for him but he has resell value and able to play in any league, di maria has already stated- wants to stay for 1yr and go back to argentina.

If cant get Gnarby heres are the alternatives – Anthony from Ajax
Pedro António Pereira Gonçalves – Sporting
    Moussa Diaby – Bayern leverkusen
    Nicolás Iván González – Fiorentina
    Pedro Lomba Neto – Wolves

  3. DiMaria does not want Juve at least not 1st choice. We should move on from him or he will be another Arthur. Arthur never wanted to come but Sarri had rolled out the red carpet and then some. Arthur has been crap from day 1 and in large part b/c his heart is mot Juve.

Sign high quality players who want to cone to Juve and above all else Italian players who want to come.

  4. @Mohammed, I agree with you! I will add Heug Min Son to your list of wingers.

Diaby and Song will be two very good signings! They can right or left and can rotate with Chiesa.

  5. U guys r so funny. How could Juventus afford Gnarby and Son? The former is not happy with the 9m net euro offer from Bayern. He wants 12m. Also why he choose a club can’t compete with the elite or even Milan teams?
The latter cost u 60m, to say the least. And he is 29.
As for the others, lol, who r they?

  6. A 34 year old player…
who would prefer to join Barcelona…
and would only stay at Juve for 1 year anyway, if Barca reject him…
and he will be playing for Argentina at WC and could get injured or very tired.
    GENIUS IDEA!

  7. @Chris JP

What do u mean Getting tired ?
Actually I’m sure he won’t get as tired as Dybala
1 year free transfer for one of the best wingers in the world
What’s your problem with that ?

  8. Dani Alves only played with us for a year and was about that age. But we got to the CL final with him. Experience is key for top clubs. Look how many oldies Real had this year.
