Spezia defender Jakub Kiwior will reportedly undergo his medical with Arsenal by the end of the week ahead of a €25m transfer to the Emirates Stadium.

The news was broken by Polish media and confirmed by Sky Sport Italia.

According to the Italian broadcasters, the 22-year-old is ready to undergo his medical with the Gunners and won’t be available for the next Serie A match against Roma.

Kiwior will undergo his medical with Arsenal on Saturday or Sunday before completing a €25m transfer.

The Poland international joined Spezia for €2.2m in the summer of 2021 and has played 39 games in Italy’s top flight.

Quite surprisingly, he had dropped by Luca Gotti for Spezia’s 1-0 win over Torino on Sunday but played 90 minutes in a 5-2 loss against Atalanta in the Coppa Italia quarter-finals on Thursday.

He had been linked with West Ham, Juventus and Milan, but Arsenal eventually secured a deal with Spezia.

  1. Feels like Milan do the scouting, find the targets, fail to pull the trigger so other clubs swoop in and buy them…. Example: Botman, Kiwior.
