Inter ultras have released a statement, announcing their plans for celebration following the team’s Supercoppa Italiana win over rivals Milan.

The Nerazzurri flew to a confident 3-0 win over the Rossoneri in their clash in Riyadh on Wednesday, with goals from Edin Dzeko, Federico Dimarco and Lautaro Martinez confirming the victory for Simone Inzaghi’s side. The 46-year-old Italian coach has become somewhat of an expert of the Supercoppa, winning it four times now in his managerial career.

As announced by the Inter ultras, fans have been called on to join them in celebration of the team’s Supercoppa Italiana victory ahead of their game against Empoli on Monday, asking supporters to give the players a passionate and heartfelt greeting on their way into the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza.

The Nerazzurri have recovered after their slow start to the season and currently sit fourth in the Serie A table, 10 points behind league leaders Napoli.

  1. Might be missing the nuance here but isn’t this trophy the equivalent of a Charity Shield played outside of Italy?

  2. What small-minded inter ultras are if they are celebrating a single win over their city rivals
