Former Serie A defender Daniele Adani believes there are ‘no happy players at Juventus, everyone knows.’

The ex-Brescia and Fiorentina centre-back, now a pundit for 90° Minuto at Rai Sport, discussed the Bianconeri’s issues after a 1-1 draw against Bologna at the Stadio Dall’Ara.

The Old Lady have not won any of the last four Serie A matches, scoring three goals in the last six games across all competitions.

Angel Di Maria did not travel with their teammates to Bologna on Sunday. Officially, it was due to an ankle injury, but according to reports in Italy, El Fideo refused to join the team after knowing he would not have started at the Stadio Dall’Ara.

“A player like Di Maria is a legend so of course it generates a stir. We are not there so we can’t know the real reasons why he wasn’t called up,” said Adani.

“The point is: there are no happy players at Juventus. It seems difficult to say, but everyone knows. I’ve heard Chiesa has never come back. He looks lost, but he hasn’t forgotten how to play. Alvaro Morata, Rodrigo Bentancur, and Dejan Kulusevski didn’t work. Suddenly, Dusan Vlahovic didn’t work either. They are all great players.”

Allegri insisted Di Maria had been dealing with an ankle problem and wasn’t fully fit, so he did not travel to Bologna. However, there have more reports concerning the unhappiness of Juventus stars under Allegri. Journalist Adriano Del Monte has claimed Federico Chiesa is also growing frustrated at the Allianz Stadium, also due to the coach.

“Rabiot didn’t work, but he’s proved the player he is. After the game with Lazio, he said: ‘The first half was shameful.’ Danilo has said: ‘It’s impossible to play when you don’t have the ball.’ Champions say these things. There are no happy players, and finding only a guilty party isn’t nice,” Adani continued.

“A year ago, I said Allegri should have been helped. Now, not only he’s not helped, but there isn’t a club behind him.

“I think Juventus can’t be entirely run by Allegri. They don’t have adequate technical guidance, proper communication or behaviour, considering their history. There’s nothing about the Juventus we all know and we can see on and off the pitch. It’s a shame because they have 25 million fans.”
