Journalist Adriano Del Monte claims that Federico Chiesa is growing increasingly unhappy at Juventus and is now uncertain of his future at the club.

On Saturday, Tuttosport reported that the Italian winger was starting to grow distant from coach Massimiliano Allegri due to the tactics used in Turin, being unable to truly show his best in a 3-5-2 system.

Chiesa was sidelined for around 10 months last year after rupturing his cruciate ligament and only began featuring regularly again for Juventus after the World Cup in Qatar. This season, he’s scored two goals and provided four assists in 1079 minutes of action across 25 games.

Del Monte suggests that sources close to Chiesa have told him that the Euro 2020 winger is feeling a disconnect to Juventus and Allegri, unhappy with the 3-5-2 system. The 25-year-old is now uncertain of his future with the club.

The Bianconeri are seemingly committed to the Allegri project and will likely stick with the coach for next season, regardless of a Europa League victory.

2 thought on “Chiesa feels ‘disconnect’ to Juventus and ‘uncertain’ about future, journalist claims”
  1. Why would people close to the player want to harm his relationship with the club and its coach?

  2. Funny how these people never name their apparent ‘sources’, and whatever is disclosed is nearly always negative.
