Out-of-favour Chelsea midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek has been linked with a move to Inter and Milan with the Rossoneri, who can finance his purchase with income from Matteo Pessina’s permanent transfer to Monza.

Loftus-Cheek is under contract until 2024 at Stamford Bridge but is expected to leave in the summer having played barely 1,600 minutes with the Blues this term.

According to Calciomercato.com, the 27-year-old is one of Milan’s targets for the summer. The defending Serie A champions could finance his purchase with revenues from Pessina’s permanent move to Monza.

The Brianzoli have mathematically earned Serie A survival and will therefore activate their obligation to buy from Atalanta for €15m. According to the report, Milan have a sell-on clause on their academy product and will get from €3.5m to €7.5m following his transfer to the U-Power Stadium.

The Rossoneri could use the money to buy Loftus-Cheek from Chelsea, although their city rivals Inter are also interested.

Gazzetta reported last week that the English midfielder is one of the two players Inter would include in a player-plus-cash swap deal for André Onana who is Chelsea’s priority target for the goal in 2023-24.
