Roma sealed a 2-0 win over Sunderland in their first summer friendly. Watch Nicolò Zaniolo and Felix Afena-Gyan’s goals.

Zaniolo was probably the man of the match as he was introduced in the second half and helped Roma create several goal-scoring opportunities.

He hit the post before Afena-Gyan’s opener in the second half and scored Roma’s second goal with ten minutes remaining.

Zaniolo’s future at Roma remains up in the air, given that the Giallorossi won’t offer him a new deal until the end of the summer transfer window.

The Italy international reportedly refused to train with the rest of the team during the last two days. Juventus are interested but are unwilling to match Roma’s €50m asking price.

  1. I would love to see Zaniolo go to Juve, he is a very exciting player. Not too happy about his refusal to train with Roma if true, bit disrespectful. If Juve want him badly enough just pay up the money. Fifty million is peanuts when you consider how much Jill Grealish cost City.

  2. Zaniolo is a very excellent and promising Italian player but the only problem is he is very injury prone so who spends 50 million for a injury prone player. Basically Juve do not want another Dyabla in the making

  3. zaniola goal got deflected in by the the defender – it was going straight at the goalie – poor by zaniola
