Inter boss Simone Inzaghi insisted that the Nerazzurri don’t need another striker, but a recent tactical change has kept the door open to Paulo Dybala.

The Argentinean striker has reached a verbal agreement with the Nerazzurri, but talks with his entourage have been put on hold. According to reports in Italy, Jorge Antun’s commission demands are too high for Beppe Marotta who needs to sell at least two strikers before signing La Joya.

The former Juventus star has returned to Turin and is training alone at his home, waiting for new developments.

Napoli and Roma are interested but can’t offer as much as Inter, so Dybala is training and waiting for the right opportunity.

Inzaghi said yesterday that he is ‘satisfied’ with Inter strikers, but a recent tactical change from the ex-Lazio boss seems to prove that he is preparing to welcome the Argentinean striker.

The ex-Lazio coach began the first friendly of the summer against FC Milanese with a 3-4-1-2 system, which is slightly different from the usual 3-5-2 which he usually deploys. Romelu Lukaku and Lautaro Martinez started up front with Joaquin Correa behind them, in a position that could also suit Dybala’s characteristics.

Inzaghi repeated the same tactical experiment during the second half of Inter’s 4-1 win over Lugano on Tuesday, suggesting that he is working on a different solution which could help him field Lukaku, Lautaro and Dybala all at the same time.
