Today is the 34th birthday of former Juventus striker Carlos Tevez, so Football Italia picks out his best five goals in Bianconero.

vs Torino, February 23, 2014

Carlos Tevez is no stranger to heightened derby atmospheres, having started his career with Boca Juniors and their bitter enmity with River Plate.

He also caused a stir in Manchester by leaving United for City, with the latter putting up a billboard of the Apache with the slogan ‘Welcome to Manchester’, the source of Sir Alex Ferguson’s famous “noisy neighbours” comment.

Tevez also turned it on in the Derby della Mole, scoring a stunning opener on the half-volley against Torino in February 2014.

vs Milan, March 3, 2014

Just a few weeks later Tevez scored another screamer, this time grabbing the second goal of the match in a 2-0 win at Milan.

The Rossoneri had actually tried to sign the Argentine before he moved to Juve, but he opted to head to Turin instead.

Tevez was left in far too much space after picking up a pass from Andrea Pirlo, and he unleashed a rocket of a strike which crashed in off the underside of the bar.

vs Parma, November 9, 2014

Juventus thrashed Sassuolo 7-0 this weekend with a hat-trick from Argentine striker Gonzalo Higuain.

It was a similar story back in November 2014, and while Tevez may have bagged a brace instead of going home with the match ball, he scored one of the goals of the Serie A season.

After a typical show of strength to win the ball from Andrea Costa in his own half, the Apache surged forward, dropping a shoulder to go past Alessandro Lucarelli.

Felipe came over to try and halt the advance, but ended up simply being nutmegged by the striker, who then calmly passed it into Antonio Mirante’s net.

vs Roma, March 2, 2015

With Andrea Pirlo and Paul Pogba in the squad, Carlitos didn’t always get to show off his set piece prowess with Juventus, but he did so to spectacular effect against Roma in 2015.

After Vasilis Torosidis was sent off for a foul on the edge of the box, Tevez stepped up to curl an effort over the wall and into Wojciech Szczesny’s top corner.

The equaliser virtually assured Juve of the Scudetto, keeping them nine points clear of the Giallorossi.

vs Borussia Dortmund, March 18, 2015

Part of the reason Juventus had bought Tevez was to try and compete better in Europe.

During his first season, Antonio Conte’s side were eliminated at the group stage, before going out at the semi-final stage in the Europa League.

The following season Max Allegri’s men held a 2-1 lead against Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League Last 16, but the away goal meant the tie was very much on a knife edge.

What followed was one of Juve’s best away performances in Europe, with Tevez getting two goals in a 3-0 win.

He set the Bianconeri on their way after just three minutes, with a fierce strike from the edge of the box.

The Old Lady would go on to reach the final that year, but were beaten 3-1 by Barcelona in Tevez’s final match for the club.
