Andriy Shevchenko reveals what makes Jose Mourinho so ‘Special’ as he prepares for his Serie A coaching debut in charge of Genoa.

It kicks off on Sunday at 19.45 GMT at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris, known as Marassi.

This is his debut on the Genoa bench after Davide Ballardini was sacked, but also his first game at club level as a coach after several years in charge of the Ukraine national team.

His opener will be against former Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho, so Shevchenko was asked what stands the Special One apart.

“The winning mentality, charisma and professionalism,” was the reply to Genoa Channel.

Roma are a very dynamic team with a lot of talents. We need the same motivation and spirit as the fans who come to the stadium. We need their support.”

Genoa have quite a few injury problems going into this game, with Domenico Criscito and Felipe Caicedo the latest additions to the absentee list.

“The two strongest warriors are time and patience,” noted former Milan striker Shevchenko.
