Belgium legend Enzo Scifo believes Manchester United striker Romelu Lukaku “would do very well at Juventus, while Inter would be more difficult.”
Scifo has experience of Serie A, playing for Inter in 1988-89 and returning for Torino in 1991-93, so is in a position to advise his fellow countryman.
“Lukaku has the qualities to be a super striker, but only on one condition: he needs the team to play for him,” Scifo told La Gazzetta dello Sport.

“Lukaku has the qualities to be a super striker, but only on one condition: he needs the team to play for him,” Scifo told La Gazzetta dello Sport.
“It’s the only way to get the best out of his characteristics and I think he would do very well at Juventus.
“I don’t see being next to Cristiano Ronaldo as a problem, because Karim Benzema scored plenty alongside him at Real Madrid. Cristiano could take the pressure off Romelu, while in turn Lukaku would put pressure on defenders in the box. They’d help each other.”
Lukaku is also wanted by Inter, while Napoli were mentioned in passing, although they haven’t made an offer.
“I don’t get into negotiations, but at this moment Juve are a step above, although Inter are growing. Someone like Antonio Conte can change a club. You need someone with his ferocity to get close to Juventus.
“The cities are different, too. Turin is placid, relaxed, people let you just get on and live your life. Romelu would really like living there, whereas it’s more difficult to play in Milan, even if the city is just as beautiful.”
Scifo was also asked about another Belgium international, Radja Nainggolan, who Inter have loaned to Cagliari.
“He has enormous potential, but evidently football is not one of the first things he thinks about when he wakes up in the morning.”
