Former Milan Coach Arrigo Sacchi says Roma lack organisation, but praises Max Allegri’s Juventus.

The Bianconeri are seven points clear of Rudi Garcia’s Lupi, and the Champions League winning tactician says this is down to Roma’s lack of organisation.

“At the start of the season it was expected that Roma and Juve would fight for the Scudetto, with Napoli possibly in there too,” Sacchi reflected in an interview with Tele Radio Stereo.

“The unknown was Inter. Juventus are maintaining their level, many thought that after Conte left there would be problems.

“Allegri probably doesn’t coach in the same way as Conte, but he has other qualities which allow him to keep Juventus going without lowering the standard.

“Roma have unfortunately shown that they have limitations in regard to the organistion of the game.

“They’re starting from a good base in that they have good technique, but they don’t have great rhythm.

“Aside from individual attributes, they’re still too reliant on the performances of a player like [Francesco] Totti, who despite everything, is 38.

“Their defensive organisation is still shaky, and in football the individual shouldn’t be the only one who counts, the collective has to do more.

“As for Napoli, they’ve paid the price for being eliminated from the Champions League. Roma and Napoli are not accustomed to winning, certainly compared to Juventus.

“My Milan, and then [Fabio] Capello’s, was based on Italian players who were used to winning. That was the secret.”
