According to Sky Sports UK, Juventus and Barcelona are among the clubs in contact with Antonio Rudiger’s agent as the Germany international is in no rush to decide his future at Stamford Bridge.

Rudiger sees his contract expire at the end of the season and has already rejected the Blues’ opening contract extension offer.

Sky Sports UK reports that Chelsea would need to make the former Roma man the highest-paid defender in the Premier League to secure his stay at Stamford Bridge.

Real Madrid were believed to be in pole position to sign the 28-year-old as a free agent at the end of the season, but according to Marca, Carlo Ancelotti’s side are unwilling to meet the defender’s economic demands.

It must be noted that Juventus are trying to lower their wage bill and are therefore unlikely to offer Rudiger €11.5m per season, which is the salary he reportedly demanded from Chelsea and Real Madrid.

However, the so-called ‘Growth Decree’ could help the Bianconeri secure the deal as Juventus, just like any other Italian club, could get a 50 per cent cut on taxes for his wages.
