With just a week left in the January transfer window, Milan have still not made an official offer for unhappy Roma forward Nicolo Zaniolo, reports detail.

The 23-year-old Italian forward has requested a move away from the Italian capital this month and would prefer to stay in Serie A, so isn’t too keen on the idea of accepting an offer from Premier League side Tottenham. Zaniolo asked to be dropped from Roma’s 2-0 win over Spezia as he looked to try and push through a move away from the club.

As reported by Gianluca Di Marzio, although Milan are seriously interested in picking up Zaniolo, they still haven’t submitted an official offer to Roma just yet, despite rumours suggesting that the Giallorossi had already declined one.

It’s clear that Roma would only consider a definitive deal, including a loan with an obligation to buy clause, and Milan are preparing to come forward with a proposal, leaving Jose Mourinho’s side waiting.
