Bournemouth have reportedly expressed interest in Roma full back Matias Vina in the final days of the January transfer window.

The Giallorossi are working hard on their outgoing market and welcomed Rick Karsdorp’s agent Johan Henkes and his brother to Trigoria yesterday, trying to find a solution for the Dutch full back. Roma hope to re-home Karsdorp this month but his €2.2m net per season wages have held back many interested clubs.

As reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, Roma could find a buyer for fellow unneeded full back Vina in Premier League strugglers Bournemouth, who are working hard to avoid suffering relegation this season.

The English club are keen on picking up the Uruguayan left back and are hoping to agree a loan deal with a buy option attached. They’re also facing competition from Spanish side RCD Mallorca.

Vina joined Roma from Brazilian side Palmeiras in August 2021 in a deal worth around €13m. Since his arrival, he’s only played 2401 minutes of action across 44 appearances, struggling to convince coach Jose Mourinho.
