Roma reportedly met Mino Raiola on Saturday to discuss a deal for Milan midfielder Giacomo Bonaventura.

According to Calciomercato.com, the meeting between Raiola and Roma sporting director Monchi was not only about a new contract for young defender Luca Pellegrini.

The website explains Monchi ‘expressed a liking’ for Bonaventura, while the agent ‘can’t wait’ for ‘his prized asset’ to change clubs.

However, the 29-year-old is described as ‘irreplaceable’ for Milan boss Gennaro Gattuso, while he would only be signed as a replacement for Radja Nainggolan.

In light of the Giallorossi’s interest, CM believes the Rossoneri will look to extend Bonaventura’s contract ‘soon’ as his current deal expires in 2020.
