Roma could be forced to sell this summer, as Liverpool look at Nicolò Zaniolo, while Paris Saint-Germain are interested in Lorenzo Pellegrini.

The delays in the takeover talks with the Friedkin Group and failure to qualify for the Champions League have put extra financial pressure on the Giallorossi, who have been regularly selling top stars for years now.

This week, the club posted huge debts of €278.5m, an increase of almost €60m from their financial statement ending June 30 of last year.

Multiple newspapers in Italy note this means Roma could be forced into selling their biggest names.

Zaniolo is their most valuable player right now, who had a price-tag of €80m a few months ago, although clearly that has dropped in the post-coronavirus transfer market.

According to Il Tempo, Il Messaggero and the Corriere dello Sport, Liverpool are the main contenders for Italy international Zaniolo, who is recovering from a torn anterior cruciate ligament.

Another would be Pellegrini, who has a €30m release clause in his contract that would allow clubs to snap him up without negotiation.

PSG are the favourites for the former Sassuolo midfielder, but there is also interest from Juventus, Inter, Milan and Premier League sides.
