Bologna coach Sinisa Mihajlovic told Serbian television that Zlatan Ibrahimovic ‘certainly won’t remain at Milan’ next season. ‘He’ll either join us or return to Sweden.’

Ibra’s contract with the Rossoneri only runs to the end of this campaign after he signed on as a free agent in January, but the constant changes behind the scenes and lack of certainty appear to make remaining improbable.

Zlatan had considered joining Mihajlovic at Bologna in January, but it seems that option is still out there.

“He called me a few days ago and we’ll see what he decides to do in the summer,” Mihajlovic told Serbian television Vece sa Ivanom Ivanovicem, according to Telegraf.rs.

“He certainly won’t remain at Milan, then it remains to be seen whether he’ll join us or return to Sweden.”

During the lockdown in Italy, Ibrahimovic was training with Hammarby, the club he co-owns in his homeland.

The striker and Mihajlovic are very good friends, but the coach insists there is also a great deal of respect between them and it wouldn’t be an issue to work as his tactician.

“Ibra treats me differently from the others, he watches what he says and how he behaves. That’s because dangerous people recognise each other!”
