Milan strikers Ante Rebic and Divock Origi won’t be available to face Sassuolo tomorrow as they are not fully fit, reports in Italy claim.

Sky Sport Italia and Calciomercato.com report the pair will miss tomorrow’s game with Sassuolo at the Mapei Stadium, where Milan won last season’s Serie A title.

The Croat, scorer of a brace in the debut game with Udinese, has back problems, while the Belgian is dealing with inflammation.

Therefore, Olivier Giroud is tipped to start up front with Rafael Leao, Brahim Diaz and Alexis Saelemaekers behind the ex-Chelsea striker.

According to Calciomercato, Alessandro Florenzi and Matteo Gabbia will start at the back for Milan tomorrow, while Tommaso Pobega could make his debut as a starter. As per Sky Sport Italia, Simon Kjaer will return to Milan’s line-up tomorrow.

Stefano Pioli will likely rotate ahead of Saturday’s derby della Madonnina against Inter.

Next week, on Tuesday, September 6, Milan will play their opening Champions League match against RB Salzburg.
