Sportitalia claim Paris Saint-Germain directors will meet with Inter tomorrow to improve their Milan Skriniar proposal, frightened by Chelsea interest.

The deal was seemingly dead in the water after negotiations ground to a halt for several weeks, with the €60m including bonuses bid rejected.

The asking price had been €70-80m minimum and the delay had seen other clubs enter the race, including Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur.

Chelsea in particular are in the race after losing Jules Kounde’ to Barcelona.

According to Sportitalia, a meeting has been organised for tomorrow between PSG and Inter to discuss the Skriniar situation.

The centre-back is only under contract until June 2023, but has already agreed an extension, albeit at a far lower salary than the one PSG were proposing.

Because of that, if Skriniar is to stay at San Siro, his agent wants to renegotiate the terms of that new contract to reflect his market value.

If Skriniar is sold, then Inter are expected to call Fiorentina for Nikola Milenkovic, who will cost circa €18m including bonuses and has also been linked with Juventus.
