Ciro Santoriello, one of the Turin Prosecutors investigating Juventus‘ finances has officially abandoned the case after a video where he said he ‘hates’ the Bianconeri emerged.

The video from 2019 went viral in February and showed Santoriello admitting to being “a super fan of Napoli” who “hates Juventus.”

In that case, Santoriello was explaining why he had dismissed another case involving the Bianconeri and their President Andrea Agnelli in 2015-16.

Now, according to multiple reports in Italy, Santoriello has officially decided to abandon the case, so he won’t be in court for the preliminary hearing on March 27.

Juventus’ former President, Andrea Agnelli, is among the individuals under investigation and recommended for trial in the criminal case. Ex-vice president Pavel Nedved and sports director Fabio Paratici are also involved.

The prosecution will be represented by two other judges of the Pool, including the deputy prosecutor Marco Gianoglio, reports Il Corriere dello Sport.
