However, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Juventus are preparing to tempt the veteran away from San Siro.

Juve are apparently ready to offer the 2006 World Cup winner a three-year contract worth €4m a campaign.

The Old Lady do have some decisions to make in central midfield given the uncertainty over Alberto Aquilani.

Juve have until May 15 to take up their option of signing the Italian, currently on loan from Liverpool, for €16m.

The Turin giants have also been associated with Riccardo Montolivo given that his contract talks with Fiorentina have stalled.
