Tonight's Coppa Italia result means Palermo are qualified for the Europa League and it's bad news for Juventus.

The Final will be between Palermo and Inter, while a Coppa victory is worth a place in the Europa League.

As Inter are already mathematically qualified for the Champions League, that place will automatically go to the other Finalists – Palermo.

Had both sides been qualified for other competitions, then the Coppa Italia place would've been passed down to Serie A.

Had both sides been qualified for other competitions, then the Coppa Italia place would've been passed down to Serie A.

That would've seen fifth, sixth and seventh-placed teams go into the Europa League, but this way it will only be fifth, sixth plus Palermo.

It's bad news for Juventus, who currently sit in seventh place and risk missing out on Europe altogether.
