Lazio are confident they can do a deal with Juventus for Luca Pellegrini after his loan spell, while it’s reported the Bianconeri will keep Andrea Cambiaso.

The former Roma and Genoa full-back spent the first half of last season on loan at Eintracht Frankfurt, then switched to Lazio in the January transfer window.

It was a dream come true for Pellegrini, who has been a Lazio supporter since childhood and was determined to make the move a permanent one.

That has proved difficult, but Sportitalia, Sky Sport Italia and Radio Radio all maintain that the clubs are now very close to an agreement.

He held out and resisted the proposals from Fulham and OGC Nice, hoping that Lazio would strike a deal, while Milan were also interested.

Meanwhile, Juventus have also reportedly decided not to send Cambiaso out on another loan after the left-back spent last season at Bologna.

He will remain part of Max Allegri’s squad this term instead.
