Werder Bremen are the latest team to be in talks with Milan for Fode Ballo-Toure, after he failed to agree personal terms with Fulham or Bologna.

The 26-year-old left-back is not part of coach Stefano Pioli’s plans for this season and has been told to find himself another club.

That has proved more difficult than expected, as the Senegal international was unimpressed by the proposals from Premier League side Fulham and Serie A mid-table outfit Bologna.

According to Sky Sport Italia, Werder Bremen have now made an approach and so far seem to be more what Ballo-Toure is looking for in the next step of his career.

Milan are not happy with the Bologna proposal, which would be a loan with option to buy, whereas Fulham and Werder Bremen are aiming to purchase the player outright.

His contract with Milan runs to June 2025 and he only joined in 2021 from AS Monaco at a cost of €5.4m plus bonuses.
