Ahead of tonight’s Champions League semi-final second leg against Real Madrid, the Chilean spoke to Premium Sport and was asked about working in Italy.

“I can confirm I’ve always thought I’d like to Coach in Serie A,” Pellegrini said.

“But now I have another project, which is to get to Milan and win the Champions League [the final will be played at San Siro].”

Current Coach Cristian Brocchi is only under contract until the end of the season, and a poor run of results since replacing Sinisa Mihajlovic last month mean it's unlikely he'll stay.

That has led to speculation that Pellegrini could replace him on the Rossoneri bench.
