“With so little time to go until the end of the season, two League games left to play and the final of the Coppa Italia, we definitely didn’t want this,” Gianni Vitali told MilanNews.
“But there’s hope he can recover, he will do everything and more to be ready for at least the Juve game.
“Next week he’ll have another scan and that will give us a clearer picture, then Milan and especially the lad will do everything to be there for the final in Rome on May 21.
“Antonelli deserves to be considered an irreplaceable part of this team, he’s always had the maximum commitment.
“He’s someone who can’t be questioned, which doesn’t mean he should play every game as it’s fine to catch your breath and be rested for some games, but Antonelli has proven to be one of the top players and must be considered irreplaceable.
“This year his three goals have led to seven points. For a full-back I think that’s a lot, especially in such a difficult season.”
