Simone Padoin declares that Juventus will not go to Borussia Dortmund to play for a draw in their Champions League second leg.

The Bianconeri hold a 2-1 lead going into the away leg of the Last 16 tie, meaning that a draw would see them advance to the Quarter Finals.

“We have a slight advantage, but I think it would be wrong to go to Dortmund just trying to come back with a draw,” Padoin told JTV, Juventus’ in-house television channel.

“We have a slight advantage, but I think it would be wrong to go to Dortmund just trying to come back with a draw,” Padoin told JTV, Juventus’ in-house television channel.

“We’ll just go out onto the pitch to try to win like we always do. Obviously we have to use our heads, and if it’s level in the last minute we’ll have to be intelligent enough to secure qualification.

“That’s the most important thing. The Champions League is our dream, we’re still competing on three fronts, when you add in the League and the Coppa Italia.

“The League is the most important thing, in the Coppa Italia we’ll try and turn around the result [a 2-1 defeat to Fiorentina last night], in a month we’ll go to Florence and try to overturn the result.

“The Champions League is our dream. We believe in it strongly, and we want to make a good impression.”

The former Atalanta man also assessed his side’s Serie A campaign, and says nothing is decided yet.

“I believe that the Italian League is always difficult. Clearly we’ve done well to be nine points ahead of Roma, but right now it doesn’t mean anything.

“There are 13 games to go, and 39 points up for grabs, anything could happen. That said, it’s a good lead, and we have to carry it forward with us until the end.”
