Victor Osimhen has been diagnosed with multiple displaced facial fractures and Napoli have confirmed he will undergo surgery tomorrow.
The Nigeria international will be out for a while after the clash with Milan Skriniar during the 3-2 defeat to Inter in Serie A on Sunday.
Osimhen suffered multiple displaced fractures of the orbit and the left cheekbone and was sent to hospital in Milan.
He will return to Naples tonight and will ‘remain under observation’ before the operation tomorrow, the club confirmed in a statement.
“Victor Osimhen will return to Naples in the evening, he will remain under observation and will be operated on tomorrow by Prof. Gianpaolo Tartaro, assisted by the Healthcare Manager of the club Dr. Raffaele Canonico,” the club wrote in a statement.
“Forza Victor.”
