Napoli have joined the list of clubs making a real difference during the coronavirus pandemic, as they are donating 32 tonnes of food to 1,000 families.
Serie A sides have stepped up in times of need, with Fiorentina, Inter, Juventus and Milan among those raising funds, while Roma distributed personal protective equipment to local hospitals, also helping local fans to get food or medication during the lockdown.

Now Napoli have announced a new initiative called Charity Food, which will see “32 tonnes of food, divided into 1,000 packages of 32kg each, handed out to families” in the Naples area.
“We've given a lot of thought to how we can do something useful to help people in need in these difficult times,” Head of Operations Formisano told Radio Kiss Kiss.
“After our Easter Egg initiative for hospitals, we wanted to go a step further so we called on our sponsors, especially those in the food and beverage sector, to set up Charity Food.
“I would like to stress the distribution process we have adopted because the packages will not be given out randomly but via 21 carefully identified groups – 12 local voluntary associations and nine deaneries and parishes including the Nisida juvenile detention centre.
"We have worked transparently and with near-military precision to ensure we can cover as wide an area as possible and support the families who need it most.”
