Inter President Massimo Moratti admits “we are looking to see if there's a chance of signing Giampaolo Pazzini.”

The club confirmed it is seeking a reinforcement in attack during the January transfer window.

“Pazzini is a player we always look at with interest, because he has a lot of quality,” confessed Moratti at a business presentation in Milan.

“We are not convinced that we can sign him, but we are looking to see if there's a chance of signing Pazzini.”

It would be a huge coup for the Nerazzurri, especially as Sampdoria hitman Pazzini has been repeatedly linked with rivals Juventus.

He is also an Italy international, so would increase the homegrown contingent in the squad.

“Leonardo has good sense when talking about transfer issues. He is very attentive and active in seeing what we can do to reinforce the squad.

“I will try to respond positively to his needs.”
