Ante Rebic reportedly won’t be fined by Milan for his Coppa Italia red card against Juventus, as he apologised to his teammates.

The striker was shown a straight red card for his out of control high foot on Danilo, just 18 minutes into the match on Friday evening.

His squad went on to draw 0-0 in Turin, but went out of the Coppa Italia semi-final on away goals, as the first leg was 1-1 in February.

Rebic received a one-match ban for the dismissal, but he won’t have to sit that out until next season’s Coppa Italia, as it is a different tournament entirely to Serie A.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Croatian won’t be fined by Milan, because he already apologised profusely to coach Stefano Pioli and his teammates for the incident.

Meanwhile, Sky Sport Italia report Zlatan Ibrahimovic won’t be back in action until the showdown with Roma on June 28.

It would be too risky to rush him into recovery from injury for the next Serie A meeting with Lecce.
