Club Brugge have reportedly asked Milan to further adjust the €35m offer for Charles De Ketelaere, demanding more guaranteed money compared to the add-ons, but the basic fee has been agreed.

The negotiations continue to drag on, despite the Rossoneri raising their offer from €30m plus €2m in bonuses to a new figure of €31m plus €2m in easy-to-achieve bonuses and another €2m in more difficult performance-related add-ons.

According to Sportitalia, Club Brugge have told Milan they will accept the total €35m fee, but want to reformulate the details of the offer.

They would prefer more of the fee to be guaranteed cash and not split into the performance-related bonuses.

It does seem as if they are finally closing on an agreement, now that Milan have broken their previous reticence to go above €32m in total.

A deal will be done for €35m, it is now about dividing them up into a fixed fee and what percentage of that total will be bonuses.

  1. Borinnnnggggggg. Should perhaps check back in when the season starts so all these stupid negotiations (which seem to get worse every year) are over.

  2. Wouldn’t that be something. All deals done most discretely by july 31 and then releasing the new teams to the media and public. Surprise!
