More details are emerging on the improved offer that Milan made for Charles De Ketelaere, which reaches the €35m Club Brugge asking price with add-ons.

The Rossoneri have been negotiating over the Belgian midfielder for weeks and struggling to get a deal with his club, even though the player seems determined to make it to San Siro.

According to Sportitalia and Tuttomercatoweb, the latest bid is still waiting for a response, but it does match the €35m asking price.

This is thanks to a proposal worth €31m plus another €4m in add-ons.

Of these bonuses, €2m are easy to achieve, the other €2m slightly more difficult to activate.

It remains to be seen if Club Brugge will accept, but Milan did get permission from owners Elliott Management to break the bank after their initial €30m plus €2m bonuses bid was rejected.

Their situation was complicated by the fact Premier League side Leeds United were prepared to pay €37m plus bonuses for De Ketelaere, a figure that Milan considered to be over the top for a 21-year-old.

  1. Should be nearing a conclusion now thankfully. It looked done last week but these things carry on a bit.

Hope they announce the signing by parachuting him into Wolfsberger’s stadium at half time, beer in one hand, cigar in the other.
