Milan are aware that it may be difficult to snap up Roma’s Nicolò Zaniolo this month and have reportedly started considering a possible move for Newcastle fan favourite Allan Saint-Maximin.

The Rossoneri are looking to pick up a new trequartista or attacking midfielder this month, aware that it might take a little longer than expected for Charles De Ketelaere to live up to his potential.

Zaniolo made it clear to Roma that he wanted to leave this month and Milan emerged as contenders, but their current offer is unlikely to convince the Giallorossi, forcing them to consider alternatives.

As reported by TMW, Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara have started to keep a close eye on Saint-Maximin, believing he could be an exciting signing for Milan this month.

The 25-year-old Frenchman, who is contracted to Newcastle until 2026, has had limited chances under Eddie Howe this season, only making four Premier League starts and playing 479 minutes of action across 12 games.
