Two teams from opposite sides of the table face off and feature in these Cremonese vs. Inter predictions. The Nerazzurri need a win to retain any semblance of a title charge, while any hope of Serie A survival is rapidly disappearing for the Grigiorossi.

Cremonese vs. Inter odds

1 – Inter to win – 7/15

2 – Over 2.5 goals – 7/10

3 – Lautaro Martinez to score anytime – 6/4

4 – Romelu Lukaku to score last – 9/2

5 – Inter to keep a clean sheet – 5/4

Inter’s hectic fixture list continues as the Nerazzurri travel to face Cremonese on Saturday afternoon. Simone Inzaghi’s side have recovered slightly following an inconsistent start to the season.

The same cannot be said for the hosts this weekend, with Cremonese now the bookies’ favourites to be relegated come the end of the season. Massimiliano Alvini’s side’s remarkable win over Napoli in the Coppa Italia may have raised morale at the Stadio Giovanni Zini, but they will be hard-pressed to swing a win over Inter.

The visitors are strong favourites to win and our tip to take all three points back to Milan.

With the season at the halfway point, the Grigiorossi’s poor form is reflected in the Serie A table. Cremonese boast the second worst attacking record and the worst defensive record in the league, averaging over 1.75 goals conceded per game.

To make matters worse, they come up against an Inter in fine attacking form, bagging three against them in the reverse fixture. A wager on the visitors to score over 2.5 goals, or for there to be 2.5 goals overall, should therefore be a relatively safe bet on Saturday.

A significant reason for Inzaghi’s side’s strong offensive performances of late is the resurgence of Lautaro Martinez. Following a poor World Cup, the Argentinian forward has picked up where he left off in Serie A and is leading the way for Inter in goalscoring. Martinez is therefore our tip to score anytime.

Should Martinez not manage to make the desired impact, Inzaghi may be able to look to Romelu Lukaku. The on-loan Chelsea man has recovered from injury and, while he might not start, could well enter the fray late in the game to swing the match in his favour.

Finally, given Cremonese’s poor attacking form, it may be worth a punt on Inter to secure a clean sheet on Saturday. The Nerazzurri have three in their last six games and will be confident of seeing off an under-performing Grigiorossi front line.

Cremonese team news

Cyril Dessers should be fit to feature despite the quick turn-around from Monday’s game. But the weekend comes too soon for Ionit Radu or Vlad Chiriches, both of whom are set to miss out. Massimiliano Alvini will look to avoid making too many changes, although new signings Marco Benassi and Alex Ferrari will both hope to feature.

Inter team news

With Milan Brozovic out injured, Hakan Calhanoglu has been thriving as a regista and is expected to start there again on Saturday. Simone Inzaghi’s injury problems are coming to an end with both Stefan de Vrij and Romelu Lukaku potentially playing a role this weekend.
