Bologna coach Sinisa Mihajlovic wants an immediate reaction against Cagliari on Monday night. ‘Me must try at all costs to win’.

The Rossoblu arrive after a 3-0 defeat to Napoli on Thursday and Mihajlovic wants to bounce back with a win against bottom-placed Casteddu.

But the coach stressed he will not be fooled by the visitors’ position in the table and stressed he might change to a back-three against Walter Mazzarri’s men.

Mihajlovic: ‘Once in nine, once two penalties; it’s impossible like this’

“Tomorrow is a game that we must try at all costs to bring home,” he said at a press conference. “We must not be fooled by their position at the bottom.”

He revealed the possible defensive change after conceding too many goals, but doesn’t particularly like playing with three at the back.

“I know that playing like this, I lose something in the attacking pressure,” he said. “But I know that maybe I gain something in the defensive compactness.

“I’m not crazy about playing like this, but I need to understand the team, as they feel more protected.”

Mihajlovic’s men arrive after two difficult games, first in nine against Milan and then conceding two penalties against Napoli.

“I told my lads that we must not think about the referees, they are things that don’t depend on us,” he said. “We must not look for excuses in these things.

“Surely, there’s a bit of confusion. We are the team with the most red cards and the most penalties against, but it doesn’t seem like an ugly team to me. We have to manage our emotions better. All this also applies to me.”
