Romelu Lukaku insists he ‘doesn’t care’ about topping the scorers’ charts in Serie A because ‘we are Inter and we play for the Scudetto, not individual targets.’

The centre-forward returned to San Siro this summer after just one year at Chelsea, arriving on loan for €10m and with a large part of his salary covered by the Blues.

He has already stated several times that the atmosphere at Inter is very different to Chelsea, where he feels part of a family and the players support each other through difficult times.

Lukaku hinted at that again in an interview with DAZN Italia when asked if he wants to be Capocannoniere.

“I don’t care about that, I’ll be perfectly honest. I am thinking only of the Scudetto, that is the most important thing.

“The goals can arrive, but we are Inter and we play for the Scudetto, not individual targets.”

Meanwhile, another Chelsea player has officially left to return to his former club, as Timo Werner confirmed a move back to RB Leipzig today for circa €20m plus add-ons.

He had only joined Chelsea in 2020 for €53m, still less than half what the club paid last summer for Lukaku.
