With Paulo Dybala and Romelu Lukaku seemingly close to arriving, Inter need to start whittling down the squad, with Edin Dzeko, Alexis Sanchez and Arturo Vidal on the way out.

Multiple sources today confirm Dybala is very close to agreeing personal terms with Inter to join as a free agent for circa €6m per season, while Chelsea are prepared to accept under €10m for a one-season Lukaku loan back to his former team.

Inevitably, that means Inter have to start lowering their wage bill and clearing out unwanted players.

According to Sky Sport Italia, Dzeko is the player who will be pushed out the door at San Siro after just one season.

The 36-year-old arrived from Roma for just €1.5m plus bonuses, scoring 17 goals with 10 assists in 49 competitive matches, so more than paid for himself in that time.

Joaquin Correa is a target for Olympique Marseille, according to reports in France, but Inter seem reticent to sell.

Vidal is heading off to Flamengo, while Alexis Sanchez will probably see his contract terminated by mutual consent to get his €7.5m per season wages off the bill.

It’s reported the club could pay him €4m to break the contract early.

  1. To think juve could’ve renewed Dybala for 6 million a season shows management really don’t gave a clue there.

  2. The traitor never impressed me, too slow.
It’s a gamble, if he gets injured very often, it’s not a cheap transfer at all and hard to get rid of.

  3. CALMAAA!!!

Dybala may get back to full fitness as the issue is with the J Medical team and PhD Max’s ancient training methods. No club has more casualties in the infirmary then the 7/9 CL and European Cup losers. Milan are another with serious issues regarding injuries. At least they are smart enough to have young players who can bare the brunt of a gruelling season. Dybala gambled wrong in terms of money. Never downgrade your pay packet. However there is a sliver lining. Escaping a maximum high security defence at all costs prison aka Alcatraz Max has benefits. Paulo will need time to rehabilitate from years of the back, back, down, down. Inter play much more direct and with the Argentines already there, he will rise from the scrap heap and flourish. Great if he scores a hat trick in Turin in front of Agnelli and the Cigarette Sales man.
